With the sad news last week, I’ve been thinking a lot about how books and stories can help us in times of difficulty, sadness or grief. What sort of book do you find yourself reading when times are tough? Something that illuminates what’s happening, or something purely escapist?
I find myself re reading childhood favourites, I ordered a set of a childhood favourites last year and I adore reading them but at the same time love seeing all the details.💕🎀
Did you/do you find yourself noticing different things, or things not being as you (thought you) remembered them? That happens with me a lot, when I revisit old favourites.
I do, I used to root for a certain character and now I go for another! I also remembered it being worded differently and then I look again and see it’s not what I used to think,🤔💕
