Just a reminder that this Sunday we will have our first Compendia writing group. This is aimed at anyone who has some writing they’d like to get done — whether that’s fiction, non-fiction, their own Substack or even a tricky report for work they’ve been putting off — and would like a focussed hour in which then can concentrate on it in the (virtual) company of others in the same situation.
How does it work?
We’ll probably use the first session to bounce ideas around as to how we’d like the group to work going forward, but this is what I’m currently planning for each one hour session:
— We all log on at the same time. Cameras on if you can bear it.
— We’ll chat for a bit, and talk about any questions or issues you may be having. Microphones unmuted for this bit, but for the really shy I’ll try to enable text-based chat.
— We’ll spend some time writing, in silence. Again, cameras on if you can bear it.
— A few minutes round-up at the end.
This will be for my paying subscribers. The first few dates (all times UK time) are:
Sunday, January 7th, 6pm-7pm
Sunday, February 11th, 6pm -7pm
Sunday, March 10th, 6pm -7pm
I’ll send a link out to all paid subscribers a day or so in advance, and ask anyone who has any particular topic they’d like to discuss to flag it then.
If you’d like to join but are currently a free subscriber, then please consider upgrading your subscription. As an added incentive, I’m offering a whopping 40% off the price of an annual subscription! This makes it less than 70p per week, and you’ll get access to all my posts, plus the complete archive. But hurry! The offer is only available for the next five people to click subscribe!
I can’t wait to see you on Sunday! Happy writing…
Steve
