Hi everyone,
First, hello to new subscribers, and welcome! I hope we’re all having a good weekend, and if you’re not, I hope things improve soon.
Just a quick update today. Final Cut is out in paperback, available in all the usual places, including (hopefully) your local supermarket. It’s a tricky time with bookshops being closed, so I’m particularly happy that it’s available elsewhere (as well as the usual online retailers, of course).
Here’s the trailer, if you haven’t seen it.
In other news… #SJsTwitterBookClub has some exciting guests coming up! On Tuesday, Feb 16th the one and only Val McDermid will join us to talk about her book Still Life (that’s at 7.30pm UK time). And then, on Friday Feb 19th we have musician and writer Kristin Hersh, who will chat with us about her fascinating memoir Paradoxical Undressing/Rat Girl (at 8pm UK time).
And then, on Saturday Feb 20th at 2pm (UK time) I’ll be appearing at crime-writing festival Granite Noir (which like everything else is online this year), along with Will Dean and Catherine Ryan Howard. The event is called ‘Paying it Forward’ and we’ll be trying to inspire writers at the start of their career. It’s free, and requires no travel… so do join in!
That’s it for now. More soon, but in the meantime, take care, and happy reading!
